Blog Journal #10
A skill I acquired from working on the PowerPoint Interaction Assignment was the ability to hyperlink content that is within the Powerpoint already. To be more clear, being able to click on text and be taken to a different slide. I liked the ability to be creative and make a Jeopardy board. The only thing I would say I disliked about the assignment is that I wasn't immediately clear on how to disable linear navigation, but now I know for the future!
I think I will use survey tools as a teacher in a couple ways. I can make an anonymous survey that my students can fill out at any time, asking me to clarify topics. In a fourth grade science class, I could post a few options of field trip locations and see which place the students would find the most popular. Or, in an AP Psychology class, surveys could be used to see which psychological movie would be the most anticipated.
A topic I found interesting from reviewing blogs was the difference in educational software all of my classmates grew up with. For example, some people were only taught Google Drive and others were only taught Word. Further, I liked reading others' opinions on some of the skills we learned in class. For example, I really enjoyed the website design, but looking at other blogs, some people encountered difficulties. Overall, I enjoyed being able to read other classmates' blogs.
I didn't end up partaking in any tech-flex or digital badges in this class. I was too overloaded with work from other classes to focus on it. Plus, I felt pretty confident in my abilities to complete this class without relying on any other tokens than were already given. However, I do think the idea is very cool!
A technology-related skill I would like to learn next is using Google Forms. Related to this, I would be interested to learn how to link a Google Form to a spreadsheet. I think this is a very valuable resource for teachers, and does tie in well with the quizzes we just learned about. Independently, though, I would be open to watching YouTube tutorials and other teachers' explanations.

Hi! Great post- I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these different topics! I think learning about Google forms is a good idea. I have only used it a couple times myself, but would also like to learn how to better use it, as well as how to link it to a spreadsheet to see the data that way!
